Atureu-vos-hi, no us en penedireu.

English version
CATALANA DE FES: BARCELONA CAFÈ
We  bought and now we are fitting out  some premises in one of the main streets in the Medina, Tala'a Kabira.
After many trips to the city, we realized  that even though the atmosphere provides the host an infinity of sensations
, it  is equally true that the narrowness of its streets , leading  everywhere, if we are able of not getting lost there; the amount of people in untidy procession; the minimum interpersonal distances, which we are not used to; the intense and new odours that invade everything; the special tasty dishes but strongly spiced; the constant insistence of the traders, obsessed to sell us anything at any price -that it will be necessary to negotiate until exhaustion; the music, that for our ears seems indecipherable wails; all of these ask, from time to time, for a break. This is precisely what we intend  to offer: a break. In the same way that our fairy-like ryad  provides the expected rest from all the noise outside at the end of each day, we would like to offer a pause to the traveller, a door which allows to enter, for a moment, in a less saturated, more distended and relaxed world. A place to take a coffee, a cake, a cool drink, in peace. In an environment closer to our customs, but at the same time atypical.

Because we have perceived the contradictory sensation of having some crazy desires to go there and  at the same time miss to be back home when we have been there  for too many days. Maybe these stations in the sinuous route of Fes , which allow to disconnect temporarily of the environment that surrounds you, may become a balance between the two worlds. A balance that will allow us to enjoy the Medina with plenitude and renewed strength. This  halfway station has a name: Barcelona Cafè. Stop there, you won’t regret it.
